AT

• At se usa para hablar sobre posición en un punto. EG It's very hot at the center of the eath. Turn right at the next corner.
• A veces también se usa at con un lugar más grande, si lo consideramos como una parada en un viaje o un lugar de encuentro. EG 1: Let's meet at the club (a meeting point) / It was warm un the club (a place to spend time). EG 2: The plane stops for an hour at Frankfurt (a point on a journey). She lives in Frankfurt (somebody's home).
• A menudo se usa at antes del nombre de un edificio, cuando no pensamos en el edificio en sí, sino en la actividad que se desarrolla dentro. EG There's a good film at the cinema.
• At es particularmente común con nombres propios de edificios u organizaciones. EG She works at Legal and General Insurance /She works in a big insurance company.
• At se usa para decir los lugares donde la gente estudia. EG He's at the London School of Economics.
• Utilizamos at con el nombre de las ciudades para hablar de sus universidades. EG He's a student at Oxford / He lives in Oxford.
• At se usa también delante de nombres que sean actividades de grupo. EG at a party, at a meeting, at a concert...

ON

• On se usa para hablar de posición sobre una linea (una calle o un río por ejemplo). EG His house is on the way from Aberdeen to Dundee. Stratford is on the river Avon.
• Pero cuidado, se usa in para expresar la posición de cosas que forman parte de la línea. EG That word is in line 6 of the text. Who is the old man in the sixth row?
• On se usa para posiciones sobre una superficie. EG There's a big spider on the ceiling. 
• On también puede significar unido o ligado a: EG Why do your wear that ring on your finger?. There are a lot of apples on the tree this year.

IN

• In se usa para posiciones dentro de areas más grandes y espacio tridimensional (cuando algo está rodeado por todos sus lados). EG He's in his office. He was born in Spain.
